Our second themed weekend was interesting, exciting, educational and fun! On Saturday, the excellent guide Alenka Veber took the visitors to the Path of Springs to find out where all the underground water that fills Lake Cerknica comes from, how and why, and admired the beauty of crystal springs by walking along this wonderful thematic trail between the villages of Gorenje Jezero and Laze.
Sunday morning was spent pleasantly at the Levar tourist farm, famous for an excellent home-made bread from the old stove. The visiotrs learned to bake such bread from the experienced, nice and always smiling housewife Jolanda Levar. They got to know the ingredients, the recipe, the preparation process and, while it was getting its crispy crust in the oven they listened to her stories about bread in the past.
The guide of themed activities is financed by the LIFE Stržen project, so it is free of charge for the participants.
