Architectural plans for the guiding infrastructure, which will be placed on Cerknica Lake in 2019, are now confirmed. Notranjska Park will place entry-exit points for vessels, ornithological observatories, and a system of guiding-interpretation points on the odge of the lake in order to redirect visitors from the most sensitive areas, where numerous endangered and rare animal and plant species live.
An entry-exit point for vessels will be placed in Rešeto in the scope of project LIFE Stržen. This is an important element for boating management on the lake. The floating pier will be large enough to moor up to ten vessels. From a technological point of view it meets the very demanding conditions of the nature of Lake Cerknica. Bird enthusiasts can look forward to an ornithological observatory Nad Levišči. Cerknica Lake will also gain a new education trail. It will lead visitors on already existing paths and will be connected by ten nature interpretation points.
