A map presenting all previous interventions on Lake Cerknica has been designed and printed! It will be on display in an already prepared wooden frame at LIFE point I12-5, at the end of the Drvošec Educational Trail, in Mlakave doline. It marks many human interventions in the area of Lake Cerknica, starting more than a century ago: redirecting of riverbeds into straight channels, concreting of sinkholes and caves, erecting dams, locks, barriers, embankments and military canals. Past and present riverbeds are all marked on the map. And, of course, the Notranjska park`s present intervention in the Ključi area, which, thanks to the LIFE Stržen project, is working on restoration of the previous meanders of the Stržen riverbed.
