The 9th issue of our LIFE`s bulletin is out! The households of Cerknica, Loška dolina and Bloke municipalities have received it in their mailboxes today. This number has been completely dedicated to our successfully completed reconstruction of the Stržena watercourse on Lake Cerknica.

As Irena Likar, project manager of LIFE Stržen wrote in the bulletin`s editorial: Stržen meanders along the lake are winding again in its mighty meanders. As before. Great success, because at times the intervention seemed quiet impossible to perform. /…/ The bulletin talks about how we returned Stržen to its natural appearance, it is all filled with the content that park and all participants in this story can really be proud of. We have managed to do something historical. We did something good for the lake. We gave it back a piece of its soul. In this issue, we have tried to explain everything: from why this intervention was so important to how we carried it out. We have also presented some history and expert opinions on the matter. We didn`t forget to give our big thanks to the landowners of the work site: they have supported our efforts, they gave us their consent.”
