SATURDAY, September 19 2020: GUIDED CYCLING TRIP ON THE ŠČUKA ( = PIKE) CYCLING TRAIL (19 km)
We will drive around Lake Cerknica, across the village of Dolenje Jezero and across Dolenja vas, where we will stop at Cvinger and the remains of Karlovec Castle and enjoy the beautiful views. Then we will dive in the wild Javorniki hills, all the way to the village of Otok (meaning the island), which lies on the real island of the lake. After descending from the island, we will cycle along the plain by Lake Cerknica and maybe even see some fish. Like the pike, which is a patient and persistent fish, that is how we will be cycling along this beautiful area of the protected area of the Notranjska Regional Park.
