Ice skating season on Lake Cerknica has been over for some time, since ice is melting due to high temperatures and collapsing because water under the ice has drained out. Meteorologists are already predicting rain for tomorrow and snow for the weekend, which is why we advise you not to go ice skating on the lake anymore.

This past weekend is definitely worth mentioning, however. We would like to say thank you to all ice skaters and other visitors of Notranjska Regional Park for helping maintain order in the lake’s surroundings. All of you were ready and happy to park on the appropriate parking spaces and when they were full, you listened to the directions of firefighters, who assumed the role of security officers again, and were directing visitors to park by the side of the road. Well done!
