Last weekend was filled with spirit of exploration and a little bit of mistery, too. Visitors to both Saturday and Sunday themed activities had to show a great deal of ingenuity, endurance, knowledge and a lot of talent for treasure hunting.
On Saturday, the participants of the cycling adventure “The Locked Secret of the Lake” each received a locked backpack, with the help of which they had to discover the secret of Lake Cerknica. They were led to the treasure by various tasks, and the bike trail Kačji pastir offered them some beautiful and unforgettable views.
The sunny hot Sunday was perfect for treasure searching in the woods. The water man Jezerko, who by the way made sure that our lake is completely empty these days, has hidden it somewhere on the Drvošec Trail. The participants had to look for clues, find Jezerko’s signposts and solve the riddle that led them to the last point on the way, the bird observatory Klejni vrh, where they had to find a treasure chest. But even when they found it, there was still no end to the search. They still had to solve the last riddle and the solution provided them with the code to open the chest. Only then could they enjoy the conquering of the treasure. The children, who had a princess among them, proved to be the best riddle solvers in the group. After a strenuous search, they were taken back to the starting point by a horse-drawn carriage, on which authentic home-made food awaited them.
