The foundations and the wooden frame of bird-watching station of Nad Levišči (it was made possible by the LIFE Stržen project) are already standing!
Bird observatory above the Lake Cerknica
The wooden frame still has to be panelled and the hat, from which the bird lovers will be able to observe the feathery animals of the lake without bothering them, will soon be constructed. On the inside of the station there will be panels with interesting and educational information on the birds which will be observed from here.
The final form of the bird-watching station Nad Levišči
The facility is placed in a sensitive place, in the sense of natural and cultural landscape, thus its design bases on sustainable forms and extremely small visual influence on the surroundings. The bird-watching station will be in a rectangular form, with a single-pitched roof and its walls will be tilted a little outwards. Along one whole side there will be a horizontal window, which will continue over the corners partially also on the shorter sides of the house. Because all the sides will be closed, this window will offer a look on the lake and its residents. The observatory is raised above the ground, that way a view will be a lot better.

Only the circumferential walls are still missing. The bird-watching station will soon be ready for birds and binoculars.
The observatory will be finished in a week. We are already excited!
