Our new LIFE bulletin “Iz tršce” (From the reeds), the seventh issue is getting ready. In it, you will be able to read about the exceptional cooperation between our park and the locals, about the cunning Bittern bird that has escaped us again, about the difficult challenge of keeping the balance between protecting the park`s nature and upgrading its tourist activities. We will let you know how the media reported on us more than a hundred times this year. In the bulletin`s interview we talked to Andrej Sedmak, the traffic controller for municipalities of Postojna, Cerknica, Pivka, Loška DFolina and Bloke. He is talking about the most frequent fines imposed on the Lake Cerknica visitors this Summer. You will also find out about our plans to pave the Dolenje Jezero – Otok road and how the park and the municipality will prevent the Lake area from becoming another Bled story. 

The bulletin is issued thanks to financial support of the LIFE Stržen project. It is published twice a year and handed out for free to all the hoseholds of Cerknica. It will also be available in the on-line version, on this website.
