The Youth Ornithological Research Camp “Bobnarica” (Eurasian Bittern) is organized by DOPPS-Birdlife Slovenia and Notranjska Regional Park as a LIFE Stržen project activity. It will take place in the park area, from Sunday 27 June to Sunday 4 July 2021. The participants will be divided into 5 working groups, each led by experienced mentors – ornithologists. There will be a maximum of 4 participants per group and each group will focus on a specific topic. In addition to more in-depth ones, there will also be groups for those who are just entering the world of birds. Camp “Bobnarica” is intended for children from 10 to 18 years of age.

The children will be staying and sleeping in Zelška koča hat. They will start off for an adventure early each morning, right after breakfast. One group will study and look for specific birds, the other will observe meadow birds and butterflies, each group will have its own task for a day. The afternoons will be spent on trips to different places of the area.
